In Japan, Christmas is a day to spend with your girlfriend or boyfriend!!

I think it is normal for you all to spend Christmas with your families.

In Japan, however, Christmas has become an event for couples.

So at this time of year, everyone is desperate to get a boyfriend or girlfriend lol.

There is a saying, "Samishimasu."

It refers to Christmas without a girlfriend.

The word "samishii" means "lonely" in Japanese.

So we combine "Christmas" and "SAMISHII" and say "SAMISHIMAS".

Very interesting Japanese culture!
